"We Run This" (with Pride) - Anthem

Client:  National Park Service

"Centennial" Anthem by YAP!

Director Ben Gilbarg set out to make a video that would communicate New Bedford's history, culture, beauty, talent, and overall vibrance to potential visitors. with footage from 3 summers of events, updated b-roll, and aerial vistas, we pulled it off! we worked with local jazz musician Marcus monteiro who composed a rendition of Cedric josey's "Being in New Bedford." Less than 3 days after its social media release, the video had 1.6K shares and 60k views.

This video was produced with and for YouForward, an organization based in Lawrence/Haverhill, a partner of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. We conducted interviews with 4 young adults involved with YouForward, sitting side-by-side with their parents, confronting their mental health challenges together. In an effort to reach LatinX parents, this video was cross-translated in Spanish & English.

As part of a project to inspire Oakland unified school district students around careers in technology, we partnered with #yeswecode and Pandora to produce this career profile. It's also part of #steamthestreets and the "STeam powered" video series. We highlighted pandora's corporate culture and music. Maira shares her powerful story and her views on a more inclusive tech pipeline.

We produced a series of short pieces to highlight the restaurant chain's Oktoberfest menu specials in its 23 locations. We focused on capturing beautiful food / Drink photography in motion. Not Your Average Joe's ran the series across social media with a sizable budget, and reported high levels of community engagement.

New Heights Charter came to Visionary Communications with a directive of telling their story of being the first early college high school in Massachusetts. We worked with the school's leadership to capture high quality education in progress, while interviewing key individuals in their education ecosystem.

We worked with New Bedford's co-working space to share experiences of co-workers in order to boost membership. "The video is an amazing marketing tool. Not only did it get over 30K views on Facebook, greatly increasing our brand visibility, but we use it on the homepage of our website to illustrate the concept of “coworking.” We had a significant spike in web traffic and leads when we initially launched the video, and it continues to help with conversions as it's featured prominently on our website."-Sarah Athanas, co-owner, Groundwork NB

Visionary envisioned an anthem to inspire new bedford youth to take better care of themselves, their business & their community. We engaged NB Native & America's Got Talent 2015 Semifinalist samantha johnson to write and produce the anthem. We held casting calls and engaged community partners to involve more than 300 young people in the production phase. We held the launch at the historic zeiterion theatre with 490 in attendance. One week after its release, the video eclipsed 110,000 total views and 2,800 social shares.
